25,000 camellia japonica trees grow wild at the Kasayama Camellia Groves. The camellia blossoms are brightly in full bloom from February to March, as that’s when the Hagi camellia festival is taking place. As shown in the picture, nature trails are running around the grove and the ground is covered with countless fallen blossoms. It’s just amazing. This year the camellia blossoms start blooming earlier than usual, as we had a mild winter last year. Hagi is half an hour away from Bettei Otozure by car. <\/p>\n
