本日は、梅雨時期の今が見ごろ、長門の紫陽花寺「向徳禅寺」のご案内です。
お寺の紫陽花は、緑の木々の中に包まれた静寂なお寺を水色や紫色の花で彩られ普段とは違う雰囲気を楽しめます。それに加え、ここ長門の「向徳禅寺」は少し小高い場所にあるため、紫陽花が広がる庭の先に、日本海が臨めます。CNN日本の最も美しい場所31選に選ばれた「元乃隅稲荷神社」、日本の棚田百選「東後畑の棚田」からも約25分程です、少し足を延ばして立寄られましたらいかがでしょうか。

Kotokuzenji Temple is known as Ajisaidera (hydrangea temple) in Nagato. In the rainy season, the serene temple is full of the hydrangea of different colors as blue, purple, pink and white. You’ll enjoy the panoramic view of hydrangea garden with the Japan Sea in the background. It is just a 25-minute drive from Motonosumi Inari Shrine and Higashi Ushirobata Tanada, so it would be nice to make a little side trip to see its beautiful hydrangea.
