下関市川棚周辺ではおなじみのご当地グルメ「瓦そば」。熱した瓦に、ゆでて炒めた茶そばを盛りつけ、その上に牛肉や錦糸卵、のりなどをトッピング。かつおと昆布のだしがきいた温かいつゆにつけて、アツアツでいただきます。瓦の熱によって少しずつ焦げ始める茶そばのパリパリ感がまたたまりません。これぞ、“場所” の味。山口にお越しの際はぜひご賞味いただきた一品です！

Loved by locals, Kawara-soba is a green tea soba noodle placed on a hot roof tile, topped with thinly shredded egg omelet, salty seasoned beef and roasted seaweed. It is served with a warm dipping sauce. The hot tile gives the soba noodles the crispy and slightly scorched taste. This is the local cuisine! Come try an amazing food when visiting Yamaguchi prefecture.
Also, Unameshi (steamed rice with eel) is a must-eat dish. The eels here are fragrant and soft in a secret sweet sauce.
